I realized I forgot to say that I did infact climb up Brown’s Preak, the tallest peak near Phoenix in that county. It was an awesome…no.. Amazing climb. I love the technical climbing portion of it, more than the hike through the trees. It was a great day with some great people. Dave Albano, of Full Life Potential, Lanny Morton, Cherrie St. Germain, Matt Gaines and myself. Weather was perfect, lady bugs were abound (at the summit only). If you’re in AZ, or planning on going there, go for it! It’s a great day hike (less than a day) to the summit. We relaxed at the summit for a couple hours, and we were the only ones up there.

So I’m going with Dave Albano – experienced Mountain climber who’s planning on climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in a few months, and Lanny Morton – founder of 6 Minutes to Success – up Four Peaks area near Phoenix Arizona.  Now, I haven’t done any climbing (call it strenuous hiking) since I went up Mt Yamnuska about 6-7 years ago.  The only things I climb are stairs.

What am I most scared about?  physical exhaustion.  Will I make it all the way?  You bet.  Know why?  Because I said so.  I made a decision to climb Humphrey’s Peak, which, at 12,500 ft is the highest peak in Arizona.  Then that plan changed yesterday.  Now we’re doing 4 Peaks.  It’s not as high, but a little more technical.  I’ll post back with some pictures and some stories I’m sure in a few days.
