This is weird… look at the picture of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) using partial pixels to align objects/images/css background images:

Now compare it to the others (Firefox 4, Safari 5, Chrome 10ish) – Safari and Chrome are nearly identical, as they’re both using the WebKit engine. Firefox is similar to Internet Explorer… but ooooh so different.

ideas? I haven’t run through the validator yet to debug the codes… but I thought it would be interesting to put this up there anyway.
update (before I even publish) – the code is 100% valid XHTML and 100% valid CSS… hmmmmm.
Feel free to comment!

So I registered a new (cheap) .info domain to focus Loklo’s Local web design efforts in terms of search engine optimization – It’s more of a test – I know .info domains aren’t weighted the same as .com, etc, but it’s better than loklomedia.com. Loklo creates custom (X)HTML/CSS web design, with very light PHP and Javascripting abilities (growing with every project). We also use and recommend different dynamic CMS solutions for most business websites – Order of preference as follows: CMSMS, WordPress, Joomla. There are always local business, entrepreneurs, needing new sites, or updating aging sites (or converting them to CMS).
Check out Lethbridge Web Design by Loklo Media – pricing is fair, contracts/small print is very, very friendly, and we’ve got some great feedback.

Loklo is now profiled on the WWDC website (which web design company).
If you’re a web designer/developer, you should check it out and add your site there.

CMS sites are the way to go. Flexible, SEO friendly, quicker to update and change, and look no different to the end user. I recommend that businesses go with the CMS option over the Static option solely because of the flexibility and friendliness of updates and changes down the road – including website layout and design modification without having to redo the entire site.
Anyway, Loklo’s pricing was previously set at a starting price $2000 for a complete custom site – including customized layout, graphics, loading of content, ensuring valid code/markup, debugging for most browsers (sorry IE6… debugging for you is a little extra sometimes). The price is now starting at $1500. This is a good deal – as it does take some time to create custom layouts, graphics, menus, etc, add pages, images, and train the client on usage of the site.
So – if you’re a new business in need of a site, or maybe in need of a fresh update – we’ve got you covered.
(Existing sites can be converted to CMS, often times with the exact look and feel, but with the added benefit of the CMS system, for less than $1500 – contact me for more details to your specific project).

Well, after deliberating, procrastinating, “designing” and researching for over a year, I’ve finally got the www.loklomedia.com website updated. Much cleaner, simpler, and faster to edit and change. I was trying to get it to be a part of this WordPress system, but after trying to wrap my head around all the .htaccess mods necessary, I gave up. so I installed a CMSMS system (which I generally prefer over Joomla for most things), customized a template, loaded it with content, and set it live.
I would REALLY love some comments and feedback on it. The old site is still available at [removed] for comparison sake – but I might not stay there forever.
